Pink Visual Kicks off 2009 with Expansion of Mobile Services
Jan 05, 2009
When Pink Visual first launched its free mobile download site iPinkVisual.com in January 2008, there was some internal debate at the company about whether the site would catch on, according to Brand and Product Manager Kim Kysar.
"We knew we had created a very cool and very slick site for mobile users - but there has been a ton of hype about mobile porn over the years that never really panned out, so there were some among us who were a bit skeptical," Kysar said.
Less than a year later, the performance of iPinkVisual.com and the subsequently launched pay site iPinkVisualPass.com have led that skepticism to be replaced by a new attitude towards the company's mobile efforts: full speed ahead.
A product line that could have become an afterthought has now emerged as a centerpiece for the company, Kysar said, adding that the Pink Visual staff will be giving demos of the company's mobile products at the Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) in Las Vegas this week, as well as giving away OhMiBod products in celebration of the mobile partnership between the two companies.
"We've been blown away by the consumer response to iPinkVisual and iPinkVisualPass, and pleasantly surprised by the attention the mainstream media has given our mobile products," Kysar said, referring to coverage of Pink Visual's mobile sites by major media outlets like Time.com, CNBC and PCMag.com.
With two successful mobile launches under its belt, Pink Visual has now extended its mobile offerings to the gay market, with the introduction of iMaleSpectrum.com and iMaleSpectrumPass.com, and added five new content lines to the iPinkVisual collection. Kysar said that Pink Visual is also working with its sister company, the webmaster affiliate program TopBucks.com, in order to expose its mobile sites to a wider audience.
"Our mobile sites are all available for promotion through TopBucks, including by using a new mobile redirect script that TopBucks recently added to their selection of webmaster tools," Kysar said. "The redirect script allows webmasters to automatically refer visitors using mobile browsers to our mobile sites, which increases the likelihood of purchase by delivering these users to sites that are specifically optimized for their mobile and handheld devices."
Pink Visual is also hard at work on iPornoPass.com, a new mobile site that will offer content licensed from other adult studios, allowing the company to provide videos in categories not covered by Pink Visual's own video lines.
"One thing we know about the modern adult consumer is that they always want more, more, more," Kysar said. "With iPornoPass.com, we'll be able to reach outside of our own collection to give the customer the 'best of the rest,' and provide them even more value for their dollar."
