Pink Visual Announces First Annual Spokesmodel Contest!
Sep 14, 2007
Van Nuys, CA - Pink Visual, the leader in adult reality content announced today the launch of its First Annual Spokesmodel Contest. Unlike many industry star searches this contest is open to everyone and aimed at those outside the industry as well as current performers. The online application is easy and accessible with links on the Pink Visual website as well as their popular Myspace and Xpeeps web pages.
"Our content is Reality and our contest reflects that" explains Kim Kysar, Distributions Operations Manager for Pink Visual. "We're inviting everyone who is interested to participate, it doesn't matter who you are, what your background is or what your experience level is. You don't have to go into a studio to apply, or be on a first name basis with our director, you can sign up online. In fact, you don't even have to be a performer!"
Having a spokesmodel who is not an adult performer may seem counter-intuitive but Kate Sylvan, Marketing and PR Coordinator for Pink Visual assures us its not. "Being a spokesmodel is very different from being a performer. Some people might be great at both, but I'm sure there are some girls out there who would be perfect spokesmodels that don't want to perform and I don't want to exclude them."
There is another reason why a non-performer may be a perfect fit - exclusivity. "We shoot reality content, so we don't have contract stars and we shoot a lot of new performers who go on to shoot features with other companies," explains Kate. "This makes it very difficult to have a performer promote Pink Visual exclusively. But this would be a perfect opportunity for a dancer, a model, or a great on-air personality."
"It's putting a fresh face on porn," continues Kate. We need our spokesmodel to embody Pink Visual and to relate to our audience, including men, women, and couples. While it's wonderful to have performers on-site at events, it would also be really cool to have a spokesmodel who's a "regular girl" someone who is sexy and hip and promotes porn as a fun, cool, and safe form of entertainment. So we're looking for someone who is comfortable with their sexuality and loves to talk shop, but is also very approachable and identifiable."
Reliability and a commitment to Pink Visual are key. "We are going to keep our spokesmodel(s) very busy," says Kate. "They will make public appearances, attend industry events, do on-air appearances for radio, web, and pod-cast, grant interviews to magazines and be featured on the Pink Visual Myspace page, as well as some modeling for promotional shoots. There will be a lot of travel involved, so we are looking for a true professional."
The number of spokesmodels that will be selected at the end of the contest is indefinite. "I think that really depends on the applicants," explains Kate. If we have 2 or 3 girls who are perfect then I think we will definitely have enough publicity work for them to share, however if we have one stand-out candidate then we will go with her all the way."
The details of the contest have yet to be announced. "We are accepting online applications at this time," says Kate. "We will meet all the semi-finalists personally and probably hold the semi-finals at a club or on-air or both." Which venue will have the honors? "We're still working that part out, but I promise you it will be a blast," says Kate. As far as the Finals? "We're thinking January, I think AEE would be the perfect place to announce the winner, don't you?"
